Unit 7: Natural environment of Spain

You can see HERE the presentation about the Unit 6. It is focused to our country, in sense of Physical Geography, relief, shores, river basins and biodiversity.

Political Geography

In this unit we abandon the physical geography and we pass to other different branch of this discipline: the political geography. So, we can say that we cross from the Physical Geography to the Human Geography.

The unit is divided in several parts. You can see some presentations about every one of them. 

1) Presentation #1: Is about the political geography of Spain, and the 17 regions (of autonomous communities) + 2 autonomous cities (Ceuta & Melilla).

2) This is a game about the political geography of Europe. You can select among different languages, in Spanish and English. Enjoy it!  :-)

3) This is another game, even better and more complete, where you can play with all the continents, the European Union, national flags, different regions in the same state, etc... Enjoy it! :-)    

Unit 6: The continents

Here you can see a presentation about the unit 6 in our book: the world´s natural environment.

Pay attention because the order of the continents here is not the same than in our book. Except by that, the rest is quite similar and this presentation can be useful in order to study and understand the better this unit.

Problems with the atmospheric pressure

Here you can watch some videos about problems related with the atmospheric pressure:

1) Chapter of "Desafío Extremo" with Jesús Calleja. They climb the Kilimanjaro very well-prepared, but some of the tourists suffer the altitude sickness (mal de altura).

2) El "síncope de la apnea" for scuba divers, specially those without any oxigen equiptment (inmersión por apnea)

3) Problems with the pressure in the cabin in a comercial flight

However, remember these situations are produced by incorrect human behaviors. It is necessary to respect Nature and also the limits of the human body, but it is no good to be scared neither. You can practice all these activities and sports if you want, but always been responsible and following a very correct equipment and previous preparation :-)
